Major Development Projects
EnviroTECH
Business Park
The
EnviroTECH Business Park provides light industry, warehousing,
commercial or professional business space in a park with
numerous amenities. In a mature setting, business owners have
instant access and visibility to major corridors. Curbed,
guttered streets and all utilities are in place. You may
choose to purchase land, built-to-suit or utilize the
available existing sites. Additional access, such as rail and
fiber optics, are available.

Downtown
Wood River
The
Downtown Business District is more than five City blocks of
established restaurants, retailers and professional services.
The City can boast of a downtown that has virtually no
vacancies, affordable rents, attractive lease terms, extensive
parking and many successful small businesses, some located in
Wood River for more than 50 years. In 1992, the City partnered
with private business owners to invest approximately $2
million in road, sidewalk, and façade improvements. Future
plans for the downtown district include the construction of a
nearly $1.5 million mass transit transfer center. Downtown
remains an active part of the community with the Library, Post
Office and City Hall located there.
IL-255
Exchange Corridor
Approximately
1000 acres of moderately developed sites are immediately
visible and accessible from the northern extension of I-255.
Exciting opportunities abound for retail, service,
professional, tourism, hospitality, entertainment and
convention business. Traffic counts have more than doubled,
and continue to rise, within weeks of the opening of this
exchange. Shoppers recognize the convenience of this major
access point linking traffic to the Interstate system, the
National Scenic Byway, the Madison County seat, Wood River and
the region's commerce centers. This is a "Must See"
location!
BP
Amoco Redevelopment
The
redevelopment of the former Amoco site makes hundreds of acres
located in downtown Wood River available for development. This
phased mixed-use development has become one of the largest
redevelopment efforts within the State of Illinois with
available incentives for development. Because the City was
built around the site, its redevelopment makes the available
acreage ideally suited for convenient regional access and
visibility for retail, office and industrial growth.
