Wood River Library
The mission of the
Wood River Public Library is to bring
the people and the resources of the library together in order
to enhance the lives of individuals and the community as a
whole. The library provides access to materials and
services to help community residents obtain information
meeting their personal, educational and professional interests
and needs. The library is a member of the Lewis and
Clark Library System (LCLS) and Gateway Automated Information
Network (GateNet).
The Library can provide the community numerous services
including:
- Access to the database and availability of more than 800
Illinois libraries with immediate interlibrary loan
services from 50 libraries.
- Internet usage with 4 available computers.
- Reference service for research on facts and other
information.
- Free Notary Public Service.
- Voter Registration Service
- Community Enrichment through free children’s
programming including after school movies, reading clubs,
crafts and preschool activities.
- Available conference and meeting rooms.
The Library is located at 26 E. Ferguson and is open Monday
through Thursday 9:30am to 8:00pm, Friday and Saturday
9:30am to 5:00am. For more information, please contact
