1LT Goldfarb died from injuries received in an accident at
Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md.
PARENTS: Mr. & Mrs. Ben
Goldfarb of Wood River His uncle owned the Goldfarb’s Dept. Store in
downtown Wood River.
He graduated from the University
of Illinois in 1939 with a Liberal Arts & Science Degree. He
is listed on the Illini Gold Star World War II Memorial
SERVICES: Military funeral services were held at the
Rindskoph Funeral Home in St. Louis.
BURIAL: Emeth Cemetery
in St. Louis.

This is my Uncle-my Mom's brother. He was very well respected & well loved. My Grandparents did not own the department store-that was an Uncle. My Grandparents, Ben & Leah Goldfarb owned Goldfarb market (grocery store), the Grandstand Tavern, an Army Surplus store, the building where the old taxo company was & several other properties.
